Delete your account and data
You can delete your Fuel Book account at any time. Deleting it permanently removes your account and everything you have saved in the app.
Option 1: Delete it in the app (fastest)
- Open Fuel Book and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab and tap Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Read the warning, type DELETE to confirm, and tap Delete.
- Confirm it is you: enter your password, or choose your Google account again if you sign in with Google.
Your account and data are deleted straight away and you are signed out.
Option 2: Ask us to delete it
If you can no longer open the app, for example you lost your phone or cannot sign in, email us from the address you registered with:
Email: info.fuelbook@gmail.com
Subject: Delete my Fuel Book account
We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours. We will delete the account and its data within 30 days of confirming your request, and we will email you when it is done.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in account (email address, name, and phone number if you added one)
- Your vehicles
- Your fuel, service and fine records, including notes
- Your reminders and app settings
What we keep
We do not keep a copy of your records after deletion. Backups of the database may hold your data for a short additional period before they are overwritten, and we do not use them for anything else. Files you exported yourself, such as CSV files, are stored on your own device or wherever you shared them, so we cannot delete those. Delete them yourself if you no longer want them.
Before you delete
Deleting your account cannot be undone. If you want a copy of your records first, open the Log tab and use the download button to export your fuel, service and fine entries as CSV files.
